Sixth Dessert of Christmas

Snow Flake Cocoa.

Chocolat chaud Flocon de neige 

It may look like milk topped with whipped cream and  chocolate...BUT it is a real hot cocoa! It was ridiculously rich and good. I had a hard time drinking mine but John finished his. I think it is nice to try different things (Hot cocoa is usually made with milk chocolate). Using white chocolate instead makes it even more sweet and rich! Now I know for a fact that I prefer mine with milk chocolate. :)

Ca peut ressembler a du lait garni de creme fouettee et chocolat...MAIS c'est du vrai chocolat chaud! C'etait ridiculement riche et bon. J'ai eu de la difficulte a boire le mien, mais John a fini le tien. Je trouve ca bien d'essayer de nouvelles choses (Le chocolat chaud est habituellement fait avec du chocolat au lait). En utilisant du chocolat blanc a la place, ca le rend encore plus sucre et riche! Maintenant, je sais que je prefere le mien avec du chocolat au lait. :)

They look good and they taste great! The Hershey' kisses were all melting and yummy. I think they were a success. John was happy! They weren't Noah's favorite though, but it's okay!

Ils sont beaux et ils goutent bon! Les Hershey's kisses etaient tout en train de fondre...miam! Je pense que c'etait un succes. John etait bien content! Par contre, Noah ne les a pas trop aime, mais c'est correct!

They do look really nice BUT I used Baker's unsweetened chocolate instead of the semi-sweet ones: Bad idea! The cupcake itself was very moist and good, but the bits of chocolate was too bitter. It was still good, but I was a little disappointed. Next time I wont do the same mistake. We still shared it with 3 families!

Ils ont l'air pas mal beaux MAIS j'ai utilise du chocolat Baker's non-sucre au lieu du semi-sucre: Mauvaise idee! Les petits gateaux etaient bien moelleux et bons, mais il y avait des morceaux de chocolat trop amer. C'etait quand meme bon, mais j'etais un peu beaucoup decue. La prochaine fois je ne vais pas faire la meme erreur. Nous avons tout de meme partage avec 3 familles!

Second dessert of Christmas

Last year, we decided to create a new Christmas tradition. We thought it would be awesome to make desserts for a week until Christmas. So I would begin on the 19th of December (Yesterday; Happy Birthday Dad!). Last time was kind of experimental because I ended up doing 3 desserts only...I think! But it was really good. So this year we decided to share half with another family, the same day. Result=There is no left overs the next day. So far, so good. I'm at my second one as of yesterday and the third one is for later on today. Look at THIS:

L'annee passee, nous avons decide de creer une nouvelle tradition de Noel. Nous avons pense qu'il serait genial de faire des desserts pour une semaine jusqu'a Noel. Alors je commencerais le 19 Decembre (Hier; Bonne Fete Papa!). La derniere fois etait un peu plus experimentale parce que j'ai fini par faire que 3 desserts ...je pense! Mais c'etait tres bon. Alors, cette annee, nous avons decide de partager la moitier avec une autre famille, le meme jour. Resultat=Il n'y a pas de restants le jour suivant. Jusqu'a maintenant, tout va bien. J'y suis a mon deuxieme, le troisieme s'en vient plus tard aujourd'hui. Regardez CA:

Ornaments

Finally, a new post!!It's the holidays and everyone is happy. John and I started a Christmas tradition three years ago; Choosing one ornament each to put on our tree. So far, we have 10! It's not a whole lot, but it's ideal for our little tree this year. It's kind of hard to find the perfect one every year because you want the best of the best! We try to look at a few places, such as Wal Mart, Target and Kohl's. 2011 ornaments mission: COMPLETED. Yeah!!

Enfin, un nouveau "poste"!! C'est le temps des fetes et tout le monde est heureux. John et moi avons commence une tradition de Noel il y a trois ans; Choisir un ornement chacun pour mettre sur notre sapin. Jusqu'a maintenant, nous en avons 10! Ce n'est pas super beaucoup, mais c'est ideal pour notre petit sapin de cette annee. C'est pas mal difficile de trouver celui qui est parfait pour chaque annee parce qu'on veut le meilleur des meilleurs! Nous essayons de regarder a quelques endroit, incluant Wal Mart, Target et Kohl's. mission ornements 2011: COMPLETE. Hourra!!

Noah's is really cute and pretty big. John's is in honor of our football team here in Arizona...and mine? I love it!! I'm so glad I found it.

Pumpkins

I love to carve pumpkins before Halloween. I think it's really fun! I can't really stop once I've started. I don't really like the first step;Emptying the inside. It's gooey, wet, and kind of hard, but it's totally worth it. I chose to do something a little different this year. I usually make a huge mouth and big crossed eyes...But I've never done any glasses. It  was time to give it a try and after all,I find the result pretty cool. AND I think it's pretty funny to pose with a carved pumpkin!

J'aime beaucoup faire une citrouille pour l'Halloween. Je trouve ca vraiment amusant! Je ne peux pas vraiment m'arreter  apres avoir commence. Je n'aime pas vraiment la premiere etape; vider l'interieur. C'est gluant, mouille et quand meme difficile, mais ca en vaut la peine. J'ai decide de faire quelque chose un peu plus different cette annee. Je fais habituellement un grande bouche et de gros yeux qui louchent...Mais je n'avais jamais fais de lunettes. Il etait temps que j'essaie et finalement, je trouve le resultat pas mal cool. ET je pense que c'est pas mal drole de poser avec une citrouille taillee!

My Birthday

We went to Krispy Kreme for my free dozen of doughnuts and found out that you only get One free doughnut of your choice now...very sad. We still bought a dozen, they were super fresh, like out of the oil! We also went to the Phoenix zoo;It was really fun and big! We walked a lot, that was my work-out! We are planning on going to The Cheesecake factory for dinner; I'm excited! I don't think I will get a free slice of cheesecake thought. I am still getting one anyway! I lived for 21 complete years and I don't feel different, just privileged. It's really nice to take a day and celebrate your existence!

Nous sommes alles chez Krispy Krem pour ma douzaine de beignes gratuite et avons decouvert qu'on recoit maintenant qu'un seul beigne de notre choix...tres triste. Mais on a en tout de meme achete, ils etaient super frais,  venant de sortir de lhuile! Nous sommes aussi alles au zoo de Phoenix; C'etait vraiment amusant et gros! Nous avons beaucoup marche, c'etait de l'exercice! Nous planifions aussi d'aller chez le Cheesecake Factory pour souper' J'ai hate! Je ne pense pas avoir droit a une pointe de gateau au fromage gratuite mais je vais quand meme en prendre!   J'ai vecu pour deja 21 annees completes et je ne me sens pas differente, juste privilegiere. C'est vraiment plaisant de prendre un jour pour celebrer notre existence!

Cold

We had the windows opened last night and we placed the fan outside our bedroom window so the air could come inside more. One thing to say: freezing air. It felt like I was camping! You know, when you are sleeping in a tent in the middle of the forest and you can't sleep because it's freezing? It was almost like that. BUT it was nice to be covered with a big blanket (it has been a while). I woke up this morning and saw it was 76F inside (54F outside!!). Ouf! It was still colder in our room because our door was closed. Noah was okay, his window and door were closed, lucky! I am still glad that it is cooling off outside. We can finally go outside during the day, just to walk and have fun.

Nous avions nos fenetres ouvertes la nuit passee et nous avions aussi place le ventilateur a lexterieur de notre fenetre de chambre pour que l'air entre plus. Une seule chose a dire: froid. Cetait comme camper! Vous savez, quand vous dormez dans une tente au milieu de la foret et que vous ne pouvez pas dormir parce qu'il fait vraiment trop froid? C'etait presque comme ca. MAIS c'etait bien d'avoir ma grosse couverte (ca faisait longtemps!) Je me suis reveille ce matin et vu qu'il faisait 24C a linterieur. Pour ici, c'est pas mal frais. Mais il faisait 12C dehors! Alors, je suis pas mal certaine qu'il faisait genre 16 dans notre chambre. Noah etait correct etant donne sa porte et sa fenetre fermees, chanceux! Je suis tout de meme tres heureuse que ca refroidisse dehors. Nous pouvons finalement aller dehors pendant la journee, juste pour marcher et s'amuser!

Motherhood

I love being a mom! Sometimes it's harder, but it all depends of my attitude. If I am happy and positive, Noah is easy and fun to take care of and if I am not so happy, he is being difficult. Everything is so much better when you feel good. So these days, I am in a good mood, meaning that I have a perfect son!(Or almost) After all, I know I have the best job in the world and I am so grateful for him. Noah helps me become a child again.

J'aime tellement etre une mere! C'est plus complique quelques fois, mais ca depend vraiment de mon attitude. Si je suis heureuse et positive, c'est plus facile et agreable de m'occuper de Noah et si je suis moins heureuse, il est plus difficile. Tout est tellement mieux quand on se sent bien. Ces jours-ci, je suis pas mal de bonne humeur, ce qui veut dire que j'ai un fils parfait! (Ou presque) Apres tout, je sais que j'ai le meilleur travail au monde et j'en suis tellement reconnaissante. Noah m'aide a devenir un enfant de nouveau.

There are a lot of shampoos. Some are colorful and others more neutral. Some are in fancy bottles and others are very basics. Some are even medicated and have their own special aisle at Wal Mart. Color preserve shine, for flowing waves, for longer and stronger hair, nutrition for dry or damaged hair, for all day volume, for everyday moisture, for flake-free hair, for smooth frizz-free hair...It's not too hard to find the right one, but which brand? I still don't know which one is the best for my type of hair. Fructis, Dove, Pantene, Herbal essences, L'Oreal, Nexus, TRESemme. Is it better when it's more expensive or cost doesn't matter? So this time, I wanted to try something new and I bought Suave Professionals shampoo, with 100% natural Rosemary+Mint, 32oz (946ml) for only 2.79$ I think it's good to change and every time I wash my hair now on, it's smells delicious! It's like I was in the forest chewing some good mint gum.

Well, I have short hair thanks to Laura, my sister-in-law. Yeah! Now I need to get used to it. I am happy about it, but it's so much different from anything I've ever had before. Hurray for change! This is the new me! Click on the photo to see it bigger!

I love music. I think it's a perfect way to express our feelings. I usually get more inspired by listening to songs that I like. It gives me the desire to draw, dance, sing or even cook! I guess it depends of the song. But today, I have this song in my head...it makes me want to write.

J'aime beaucoup la musique. Je trouve que c'est une excellente maniere pour exprimer nos emotions. Je deviens habituellement plus inspiree quand j'en ecoute. Elle me donne le gout de dessiner, danser, chanter ou meme cuisiner! J'imagine que ca depend de la chanson. Mais aujourd'hui, j'ai celle-la dans ma tete...et ca me donne envie d'ecrire.

Mail Delivery

Hi everyone!! I received my book today in the mail!! Yeah!! I am way excited! That explains the exclamation points. The cover is glossy and everything turned out really good. I am really happy about the result and it was worth the 8.50$ (For shipping). Noah didn't see it yet, he is snoozing, but I am sure he will love it! Book

I finally finished Noah's book on Shutterfly. I kept changing stuff; the font, the colors, the backgrounds until it was perfect. I would say it's pretty close to what I really wanted, so I ordered it yesterday! I am supposed to receive it in about a week; I'm super excited!
     J'ai enfin fini le livre de Noah sur Shutterfly. Je n'arretais pas de changer des trucs; les couleurs, les arriere-plans, les grandeurs jusqu'a ce que ca soit parfait. Je peux dire que c'est vraiment proche de ce que je voulais, alors je l'ai commande hier! je suis supposee le recevoir dans environ une semaine; J'ai vraiment hate!

The song "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri was used for a routine of So you think you can dance season 6. I remember liking the song, but didn't know the singer, so I forgot about it. And then Ellen Degeneres talked about her on her show...Youtube time! There it is, my favorite song of hers:

Free Book!? Awesome! I was way excited about it went on their website and Signed up right away. It ended up being truly amazing! I have a total of 20 pages and I can do practically everything I want with it. I can choose the layouts, backgrounds, frames, stickers, font, colors etc. And to be honest, I am a little too excited about it. So I do it whenever I have some personal time, meaning when Noah is asleep. And it's for him after all! It's gonna be his first year, included important events.  It is really fun and it keeps me busy and happy! The only thing I need to pay are taxes, shipping and handling. I don't know how much it is going to be in all, but I hope it won't be too expensive. I love free stuff!

I feel like I just did a commercial. Well, I do like this product! Especially because it was free for me!

California

I am a little late, 2 weeks late to be exact, but I wanted to share some pictures from our trip to California. I think that the best part was the ocean, but the weather was also amazing. We escaped the intense heat of Arizona (104F°/40C°) to opt for something way more "breezy" and nice (70F°/22C°). I even had to wear my jacket on the pier! Our day at the beach was a little chilly because it wasn't very sunny, but it was still fun! 

Je suis un peu en retard, 2 semaines en retard pour être exacte, mais je voulais partager quelques photos de notre voyage en Californie. Je pense que la meilleure partie était l'océan, mais la température était aussi parfaite. Nous avons échappé de la chaleur intense de l'Arizona (40C°) en optant pour quelque chose de plus frais et confortable (22C°). J'ai même eu besoin de porter ma veste sur le quai! Notre journée à la plage était un peu trop fraîche parce que ce n'était pas très ensoleillé, mais c'était quand même amusant!

It was a really nice week-end. We relaxed and that's what we wanted.
Family vacations are always fun! 

C'était vraiment une belle fin de semaine. Nous nous sommes détendus et c'est ce que nous voulions. Les vacances en famille sont toujours plaisantes!

School

School has started for John. He's taking 4 classes in all, 3 online. It will keep him a little more at home, but I anticipate a lot of homework (Included him hiding in the bedroom at his desk). That means I will take care of Noah all the time and cook for my boys! I see how it can be hard and long, but it's happening and I really want to stay positive. I do support John at 100% and I'm really excited for him to be done with it. Maybe in 2-3 years? Not too bad! And by the way, he wants to work in the finance area, maybe accountant or financial advisor, something like that! I'm proud of him! Learning is good!

Seize août

John and I were sealed at the Montreal Temple on the 16th of August 2008...three years ago! A lot of things happened since, good and less good. But I prefer remembering the good memories. Our marriage was the perfect beginning to a wonderful life. I did not understand how I could possibly have more love for John at the time, but now I know! Our love grows everyday. I cherish every moment we have. Knowing that I will always have my best friend by my side is simply precious. I trust him, I respect him, I love him. We also have amazing pictures to remind us how happy we were to become One.

I love Love. I love being in Love!
